Macro Photography with Sony 7iii and Oshiro 60mm
Had a bit of a garden safari today in bright midday sun and got some great macro shots of some of the plants and flowers that are around at the moment. It’s always amazing to look at things you see every day from a different perspective.
Used the Sony A7iii with a cheap Oshiro 60mm manual lens that I found on eBay, mounted using a KEF Concept Nikon to Sony adapter. The best thing about this lens is it goes to 2:1 magnification ratio without the need for extension tubes!
All shots are handheld, auto iso with a min shutter speed of 1/125s. As there’s a lot of light loss at the necessary smaller apertures, iso was sometimes 1250 even in the sun but that doesn’t bother me at all as the Sony’s images are still incredibly clean at this iso. Straight to JPEG with a very quick curve tweak in Lightroom.
